There are various government schemes that can help reduce the cost of childcare, and Childcare Choices is a great place to explore them all. These include:
- Tax-Free Childcare
- Funded places for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds (subject to eligibility)
- Tax credits
- Universal credits

Funded Places
We’re proud to offer funded places for eligible children, helping you access high-quality childcare without the added financial stress.
- Eligibility:
- All children aged 3 and above (from the term after their third birthday) are entitled to 570 hours of funded care each year.
- For families where both parents work (or are self-employed), you may qualify for an additional 570 hours, giving you a total of 1,140 hours annually.
- Flexible Options:
- Funded hours can be taken term-time only (15 or 30 hours per week for 38 weeks) or stretched across the year over 51 weeks, depending on your preference. Please note we dont offer term-time only sessions. However, we do allow you to reduce to our minimum of two sessions per week during the holiday periods. Please note that these sessions would be charged at our standard daily rate, as funding does not apply during this time.
Tax-Free Childcare
Tax-Free Childcare is available for working families, including those who are self-employed. For every £8 you pay, the government will add an extra £2, up to £2,000 per child each year (or £4,000 for children with disabilities).
This extra contribution is paid directly to the nursery to help with your monthly fees, making childcare more affordable.

Payment Information
At Lots for Tots Childcare, we aim to make the payment process as smooth as possible. Please read the following important information about fees and payment deadlines:
- Monthly Fees
Fees must be paid in advance and no later than the 6th of each month. If payment is not received by this date, a late payment fee will be applied. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further details. An invoice will be sent to you via email at the beginning of each month. If you do not receive your invoice, please notify us promptly. - Part-Month Invoicing
If your child starts with us partway through the month, you will receive an invoice for the part-month on their first day, which must be paid on receipt. For example, if your child starts on the 10th of July, you will be invoiced for the period from the 10th to the 31st of July. A separate invoice for the full month of August will be sent on the 1st of August. - Payment Methods
Payments can be made via bank transfer or standing order. Please note that we do not accept cheque payments.
