Food and Nutrition:
We provide balanced, nutritious meals freshly prepared every day, promoting healthy eating habits for all children. Our dedicated nursery chef is skilled in accommodating allergies and special dietary requirements, ensuring every child’s needs are met with care.
With a focus on quality and safety, we maintain the highest hygiene standards in our kitchen.
Holidays:
We are closed on weekends, bank holidays and for 1 week at Christmas. At Lots for Tots Childcare, we understand that holidays are an important time for families to come together and create lasting memories. That’s why we offer 6 sessions of the year where you won’t be charged for taking time off. Three of those sessions are during our Christmas shutdown, and the other 3 can be used at any time that best suits your family’s needs. (Please note this is pro-rota depending on when you start with us)
Additionally, we don’t charge for bank holidays.
Child Safety
The safety and well-being of your child are our top priority. Our facility is equipped with secure entry points, CCTV and a intercom system. All our staff are trained in first aid and emergency procedures. All staff undergo thorough background checks before employment in line with our safer recruitment policy.
Only authorised individuals can pick up children and we request that you notify us of any changes to your child’s pickup arrangements.
Events
We host a wide range of events designed to bring families together and celebrate our community. From parent workshops and open days to graduations, nativity plays and more, we take pride in fostering a warm and connected environment where families can share in these special moments.
Parent Communication
At Lots for Tots Childcare, we believe strong relationships with families are essential to every child’s development. That’s why we keep parents informed and involved every step of the way.
Using the Blossom app, you’ll receive regular updates about your child’s day, including details on meals, nappy changes, observations and progress reports.
We also foster collaboration with parents and caregivers to create a supportive network that enriches your child’s experience. You’ll be invited to parents’ evenings to discuss their development, and our open-door policy ensures you’re always welcome to connect with us.
Lots for Tots Lending Library
Here at Lots for Tots Childcare, we’re passionate about nurturing a love for reading. Our Lending Library is designed to inspire children to discover the joy of stories while developing important literacy skills.
Parents can browse our carefully curated selection of books, borrow them to enjoy at home, and swap them for new adventures once their little ones are ready for more.
Blaze & Bertie Bear
Blaze and Bertie Bear are our nursery bears. They are at the heart of our learning adventures here at Lots for Tots Childcare. Children are able to take the bears home to share adventures with during holiday and weekend periods.
Each bear comes with their very own adventure book, where families can record the fun memories they share together. It’s a wonderful way to foster creativity, storytelling, and a sense of community!
